The Mid-term review of the Nepal Country Strategy 2013-2017 was conducted in 2015. It was an internal review, facilitated by an external consultant during a 3-days workshop. The purpose of the MTR was to assess the Country Strategy in term of whether the Embassy is doing the right programmatic work and whether the Embassy is doing the work in the right way. The MTR included the review of the two domains of the strategy (1. Peacebuilding, Human Security and Rule of law, and 2. Improved livelihood and increased resilience of disadvantaged groups in rural areas) and the two (internal and external) implementation modalities. Prior to the MTR workshop preparatory assessments took place accross the domains. They included a review of to measure the progress and results of domain 1, and a reality check approach and a quantitative household survey to measure the progress and results of domain 2. Different external consultants and photojournalists were used for these preparatory reviews and reports.
