UNDP unterstützt die parlamentarische Entwicklung von über 60 Parlamenten weltweit. Das von der Direktion für Entwicklung und Zusammenarbeit finanzierte Projekt arbeitet eng mit der serbischen Nationalversammlung zusammen und unterstützt das serbische Parlament als Institution darin, näher bei den Bürgerinnen und Bürger zu sein. Das Projekt trägt dazu bei, die Qualität des Gesetzgebungsprozesses zu verbessern sowie sicherzustellen, dass die Interessen der Bürgerinnen und Bürger im Gesetzgebungsprozess einbezogen werden. Das Projekt fördert ausserdem die Aufsichtsfunktion über das öffentliche Finanzwesen. Das Ziel des Berichts ist es, Auskunft über die Halbzeit-Resultate des Projekts zu geben.

UNDP supports parliamentary development in over 60 parliaments globally. The Strengthening the Oversight Function and Transparency of the Parliament Project is working with the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and aims to mobilise stronger public engagement in political processes. The objective of the Project is to strengthen the oversight and scrutiny functions, as well as the transparency and efficiency of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the representative role of local assemblies, through mobile committee sessions and supports outreach mechanisms and public hearings, as well as enabling two-way communication between assemblies and citizens.The purpose of the evaluation was to provide information on the mid-term results of the Project. The evaluation scope was particularly noted as a mid-term evaluation, with a focus on assessing relevance, effectiveness, sustainability and efficiency.
