The study on Post-Harvest Practices in Bangladesh was commissioned by the Swiss Cooperation Office/Swiss Embassy in Dhaka and conducted by a team of international and Bangladeshi experts in spring 2011. With a methodology based on the Making Markets Work for the Poor approach (M4P), the study focuses on opportunities in the area of processing or improved storage in various agricultural value chains in Bangladesh. The exchange with the experts and the commissioned report have enriched and supported the SDC team’s reflection on M4P in Bangladesh and was useful for the further development of the Rural Market Development portfolio under the Swiss development program in Bangladesh.
