The project Community-Based Sustainable Management of Tanguar Haor (phase 2) has been implemented with SDC funding by the International Conservation Union IUCN and the Government of Bangladesh from May 2009 through June 2012 with a budget of CHF 1.8 million. The midterm review was conducted by a team of experts from India and Bangladesh in summer 2011 upon mandate by the Swiss Cooperation Office/Swiss Embassy in Dhaka.The review team has assessed the project’s relevance and performance from the perspective of results achievement and project management positively. The report offers useful recommendations for a possible re-focus towards program consolidation and increased sustainability during the final project phase planned for the period of July 2012 through June 2015.
