Description succincte
(Allemand)
The Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) is an efficient vector of at least 22 arboviruses, among them dengue and chikungunya viruses. In Switzerland, the tiger mosquito has invaded the canton Ticino. In the near future, the tiger mosquito might invade Switzerland also from the West in the Geneva area. Therefore, predicting areas suitable for future establishment and spread is essential for planning early prevention and control strategies.
