Before the end of phase 2 (2011-2013) of the SDC contribution to the Trust Fund of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative (RWSSI TF) of the African Development Bank (AfDB), SDC commissioned a review to assess the effect of its contribution to the Trust Fund. This review provided useful information for the formulation of a third phase (2014-2016) of SDC contribution to the Trust Fund.The assessment is very positive about the relevance of this program and appreciates the positive impact of SDC on the strategic orientation of RWSSI. In the next phase the emphasis is on implementation of the new strategy in the field and on monitoring of its effects as a basis for addressing in a timely manner issues that arise during the implementation of the program.
