In der Raumfahrt erlauben neue Technologien das Sammeln von immer grösseren Datenmengen, wie z.B. bei der Klimaüberwachung durch Satelliten. Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung eines optical ground terminals (OGT) für urbane Umgebung, das Daten mit Satelliten austauschen kann.
