Development of a glycopolymer for the therapy of multifocal motor neuropathy

Abstract (German)

Multifocal motor neuropahty (MMN) is a disabling autoimmune neuropathy caused by pathogenic anti-GM1 IgM antibodies. Current treatment options are non-selective and lack long-term efficacy. The project aims at a personalized therapy with a glycopolymer that selectively sequesters anti-GM1 IgM.
