Short description (English)	Recent studies have highlighted the presence of formations generating hydrocarbons (HC) in the deep subsurface of the Swiss Plateau. HCs were also recently encountered unexpectedly during the drilling of a geothermal exploration well in St Gallen. This study aims to evaluate the bearing of the occurrence of active petroleum systems on the geothermal energy potential and to develop a map that can help future geothermal drilling to plan for, predict and/or avoid encountering hydrocarbons.
