Development and implementation of novel optical rheometer technology in a commercial analytical instrument.
Abstract
(Deutsch)
Microrheology based on DWS (Diffusing Wave Spectroscopy) is a highly promising optical technology with a strong potential for growth in the rheometer market. So far the complexity of the technique has limited its application to few specialized user-groups, where however, it has proven its immense value. Recent advances in research have now opened the possibility to drastically reduce its complexity and enable direct competition with traditional mechanical rheometers. In this project we will implement the latest development in a so far unreported manner to obtain a highly competitive optical rheometer.
