Abstract
(German)
Automated brain tumor (BT) segmentation methods are computational algorithms that yield a 3D delineation of tumor compartments from multimodal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Their automatic nature provides a potential important time-saving for radiation oncologists in target volume contouring, and compared to the standard care of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients, their accuracy enables an improved tumor definition and faster adaptive planning for radiotherapy (RT).
