To achive machining and cutting speeds of several 10 mm/s at high qualities ultra short laser pulses with #t < 350 ps at high average power and repetition rate will be coupled into a micro waterjet. The project contains the set-up of a cost effective laser system, the process development including burst mode and the development of a new fully fiber based beam shaping unit.
