Die Qualität und Festigkeit der aus Naturfasern hergestellten Produkte (Textilien, Vliese, faserverstärkte Kunststoffe) hängt zum grössten Teil von der Faserlänge der verwendeten Fasern ab. Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung einer Messvorrichtung, die die Faserlängenverteilung in einem Faserbündel auf optischem Weg automatisch ermittelt.
