Abstract (German)

SkeletonCAD is a novel Computer-Aided Design and Simulation software based on Medial-Axis Transformation (MAT) principle to represent and manipulate 3D mechanical parts and assemblies, promising to deliver a 50% speed up in product development process. The current project addresses several challenges in the calculation of MAT of existing 3D complex parts (represented by the Boundary Representation model) as well as a few innovative functions for design re-use.
