Résumé des résultats (Abstract)

The high performance of watches depends strongly on the precise placement of their lubricants. This is achieved by using surface coatings of fluorinated polymers, called épilames, which control wetting by the lubricant. To date, these épilames do not effectively withstand the cleaning process during servicing and their performance on certain substrates is limited. Moreover, the deposition of such épilames requires fluorinated solvents, which present severe ecological concerns. This project involves the development of a novel eco-friendly épilame with improved performance. The aim is to design a fluorinated copolymer containing specific anchoring groups, in order to improve the wash resistance on various substrates, and allowing dip coating using ecological solvents such as water.
