Novel FRP semi-products with thermoplastic matrix for mono-material sandwich structures

Abstract (German)

Quadrant Plastic Composite AG is developing a novel type of endless fiber reinforced polymer semi-products with thermoplastic matrix systems for structural applications. Selected combinations of these novel needle-punched semi-products allow manufacturing mono-material sandwich structures in a one-shot process. This project shall support the refinement of these semi-products with a focus on the processing and the final laminate and sandwich behavior.
