Abstract (Deutsch)

This proposal addresses the need to increase the performance of hearing devices with respect to spatial perception of the acoustic environment. The goals of this project are: # The improvement of the existing classification system of the auditory environment for better parametrization and steering of the algorithms for improved spatial perception by the hearing aid user. # The assessment of the 3-D audio reproduction capabilities of hearing devices for complex auditory scenes by developing a suitable 3-D audio reproduction system and appropriate evaluation protocols.
