15-20% der Schweizer Bevölkerung sind auf Pollen allergisch. Die Pollendaten liegen heute mit einer Woche Verzögerung vor und die geografische Auflösung ist gering. MeteoSchweiz kann sich nur 14 Messstationen leisten. Polleninformationen in Echtzeit könnten helfen, die Lebensqualität von Pollenallergikern zu verbessern und die volkswirtschaftlichen Kosten zu senken. Darum wird ein kosteneffektives Gerät zur automatischen Pollenidentifikation in Echtzeit entwickelt.
