Abstract (German)

The use of computed tomography (CT) in total joint arthroplasty yielded 3D patient-specific modeling allowing more accurate planning of surgical interventions, but at the expense of higher patient radiation exposure. This project aims to switch back from CT imaging to less invasive standard 2D X-ray imaging developing an integrated solution that provides equally good 3D modeling as CT while supporting and empowering clinical users in the planning and intraoperative stages.
