Sleep is an essential means of recovery for both physical and psychological state of the human body. We investigate thermal properties of natural and man-made natural textiles (fibres, material blends, knits) with the aim to enhance overall sleep comfort and -quality, observing from design and material science research the interaction of textile layers within sleepwear and bedding related to body functions during sleep. The findings result in novel functional sleepwear.
