The goal of this project is the development of a prototype of a new Line Lightning Protection Device (LLPD) for transmission power lines with voltage levels up to 110 kV, which will require a current quenching ability up to 10 kA. The new prototype will be realized with knowledge, simulation technologies, the high-voltage-laboratory-facilities from a previous CTI-Project as well as expertise from Pfisterer Sefag AG.
