Even though 40 % of the patients have healthy glenoids, they get a full prosthesis to replace the damaged humeral head just because current hemiprosthesis destroy the cartilage they are articulating against. This innovation aims to change this by creating the first cartilage friendly hemiprosthesis ever. Patients, surgeons and health insurance will benefit from less invasive, easier and faster surgeries leading to less complications, faster rehabilitation time and costs.
