Abstract (Deutsch)

The goal of this project is to enhance the autonomy of Agathon indexable insert grinding machines by intelligent control of the grinding process. Building on a previous, ground-laying CTI project, a deep understanding of the grinding process of ultra-hard pCBN/PCD materials shall be established and used to create 1) advanced monitoring, 2) analytics and 3) process optimization software. Broad market impact is aimed for by autonomous functions for both experts and novices.
