Automated assistive system for intravitreal injections
Abstract
(German)
Intravitreal injection has become one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures in the eye worldwide. We develop an automated system that injects medication intravitreally. By providing a robotic injection system with an integrated local sterile environment and consumables to hospitals, we can increase safety for patients, decrease procedure times, allow for integrated data storage and documentation, and reduce costs for medical staff and expensive operating room.
