Abstract (German)

A major cardiovascular unmet medical need today is the peri#procedural diagnosis and treatment of microvascular obstructions (MVO). MVO occurs in 40% # 60% of acute myocardial infarction with STsegment elevations patients treated with a stent. Current therapeutic options remain limited with non#standardized approaches attempting to clear the MVO#s. ReFlow Therapeutics aims at developing the first diagnostic and therapeutic medical device that can diagnose and treat MVO while the patient is still in the catheter laboratory after a stent.
