Targeted Repair of Local Damage in Plain Bearings using Laser-based Additive Manufacturing
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
During the lifetime of a white metal bearing, it is subjected to local stresses liable to create local defects. Therefore, repair of bearings is a common practice in order to maximize lifetime, availability, and profitability. Targeted repair based on Laser AM technology significantly makes the repair procedure efficient, cost-effective, and cleaner. This project will enable Stellba to offer a new laser-based repair procedure for plain bearings as a unique service worldwide.
