Abstract

The process of identifying a person with an electronic identity document is currently prone to fraud and loss of privacy information. We intend with this project to design cryptographic algorithms and an infrastructure to overcome current weaknesses, using as a starting point the standards for machine readable travel documents. We aim to use this technology to build a solution to securely identify hospital patients, securing their privacy and their medical information.
