The use of a wireless personal area network for wireless access control and user localization, such as in the Schindler PORT technology, is a key enabler for advanced transit and destination dispatching systems in buildings. Exciting new applications (including health care) require more accurate localization and reliable personal occupant condition classification. In this project we develop and demonstrate appropriate schemes.
