Abstract (Deutsch)

The aim of the project is to identify and develop optimal power electronics system configurations for converterfed pumped hydro storage plants. Increased penetration of high-power multilevel converters into this sector increases operational flexibility and efficiency, but it requires optimal use of resources, features and materials allocated to different parts of the systems: transformers, converters, filters and electrical machines, to increase benefits on the system level.
