Description succincte

Durability of New Generation Diesel Engine Aluminium Alloys at High Operating Temperatures
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The project is proposed to develop a new approach for the fatigue design of new generation aluminium alloys for diesel engine cylinder heads subject to both high thermo-mechanical fatigue and high cyclic pressure loading. The focus will be on critical locations where the local operating temperature is significantly above the quality heat treatment precipitation hardening temperature. The new approach will involve an innovative material solution with significant competitive advantages in terms of emissions and durability.
