Each firm or research group that deals with droplet microfluidics must use surfactants. Without them generated droplets merge and collapse. Each nanolitre sized droplet can be used for a multitude of biochemical experiments. Currently on market there are only two fluorinated products that stabilize the droplet interface. Our plan is to create a new family of surfactants that can also perform chemistry on the droplet interface dramatically simplifying microfluidic experiments.
