Discovery & development of novel cancer immunotherapeutics

Abstract (German)

Boosting tumor-directed immune responses by inhibiting tumor evasion mechanisms bears significant therapeutic promise. Although unprecedented clinical success has been achieved by blockade of immune checkpoint pathways, these therapies still have only partial efficacy. Our goal is to develop first-in-class neutralising monoclonal antibodies against a novel immune checkpoint regulator that we have identified, with the aim of strengthening antitumor immunity in cancer patients.
