Abstract

Swiss tool manufacturers and plastics processing companies with high export turnover face intense cost pressures. The innovation is to demonstrate that the productivity can be improved by more than 5% with a micro-nano texture on plastic injection molds applying Laser and EDM technologies. This project aims to identify the optimal surface energy and combination of mold surface texture and polymer and to validate and implement a new application in the Plasturgy sector.
