Self-healing breathable membranes (SHELTER)
Abstract
(Deutsch)
Waterproof and breathable membranes have widespread applications in outdoor garments and wearable|medical devices. However, they lack mechanical robustness and can become leaky. Therefore, membranes|with the ability to autonomously seal and heal punctures will be developed, and a manufacturing method that|is scalable from the lab to industrial production will be implemented. The performance of the membranes in|textile applications and in medical cooling devices will be assessed.
