Development of non image-based aspiration device for preterm birth diagnosis.

Abstract (German)

Preterm birth screening is an underserved need in obstetric care. Recent clinical application of a new cervical stiffness measurement device has shown promising results in identifying women at risk of preterm birth. To ultimately create a commercially viable device, this project aims at simplifying the method by introducing a new non-image based measurement technology, that allows a broad, robust and still highly reliable application of this device in clinical routine.
