Bees suffer worldwide from Varroa destructor. Organic acids are used together with evaporation devices to fight Varroa. The task of the project is to find an exotermic reaction and design a device to sublimate or evaporate a small amount of organic acid inside the beehive without using external power supplies. The device must be simple to use and allow treatment of beehives in remote locations as well as close to inhabited areas.
