Visual positioning systems (VPS) determine the position and motion of a device and map its environment|based on visual input. This information can be used by drones for autonomous flights or enables virtual and|augmented reality on head-mounted displays. The goal of this project is to use Insightness¿ event-based vision|sensor technology to develop the best-in-class vision sensor chip for VPS targeting 9% (drones) and 3%|(smart glasses) market shares by 2019.
