Abstract (German)

Infusion pumps are an important element in modern medicine. All existing infusion pumps|are based on an open loop control without measuring the real flow because of the lack of|adequate sensing technology. False alarms and missed errors during infusion occur daily|and cause therapy complications and unnecessary stress to patients and staff all over the|world. This project aims at developing an infusion controller using sensor technology to|detect failures.
