The current surgical treatment of cartilage defects is exclusively based on the implantation of solid matrix pieces. The project will investigate the use of a two components paste solidifying in biocompatible conditions in vivo. The paste constituents are chemically modified biomaterials from mammalians origin and a copolymer made of natural monomers. This will generate an innovative technology to rebuilt rapidly biocompatible matrix with adequate mechanical characteristics.
