The CTI project 13875.1 PFLS-LS lead to the discovery of compounds HiQ0013 specific for the á7 neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and HiQ0025 which is specific for the á3â2|subtype. HiQ0013 a partial agonist at á7 enhances the response to acetylcholine at concentration in the nanomolar range. HiQ0013 was found to be active in rodents and in aged monkeys. The aim of this project is to complete preclinical testing and to consolidate data obtained at backup candidates.
