Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
About 10% of all treated bone fractures today feature delayed healing or don¿t heal. Healthcare systems costs per patient can reach several folds those of a successful treatment. The foreseen aging related exponential increase in the number of these complications in the coming decades poses a substantial challenge to the sustainability of healthcare systems. This project aims at developing and testing innovative trauma devices decreasing the risk of treatment failure better meeting the mechanobiological requirements of the healing tissues.
