Short description (English)

The project aims at Publishing and effectively disseminating the report "Making Women Count - Not Just Counting Women: Assessing Women's Inclusion and Influence on Peace Negotiations" on a global level. This report is based on results from the Geneva-based Inclusive Peace & Transition Initiative's (IPTI) - part of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies - multi-year research project entitled "Broadening Participation in Political Negotiations and Implementation" and was originally prepared for the 2015 High-level Review on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. The translation should effectively enrich the research policy transfer and inform the debate on 1325 in order to ensure omen's meaningful and influential participation in peace processes.

Project aims (German)

Durch die Übersetzung (Französisch, Spanisch, Arabisch, Russisch) des auf Englisch verfassten Berichts werden die Forschungsresultate in elektronischer und physischer Form einem weitaus grösseren Zielpublikum zur Verfügung stehen. Es soll so der Nachfrage in verschiedenen Welt- und Sprachregionen nach fundierten Forschungsresultaten bezüglich der Partizipation von Frauen in Friedensprozessen nachgekommen werden, um so eine informierte Politikentwicklung auf allen Ebenen zu erzielen.
