The Swiss Government plans to support specific activities of the OSCE's Project "Activities of the OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions (2016-2017)". Switzerland will support the Network of OSCE Think Tanks and Academic Institutions, led by the Hamburg-based Center for OSCE Research (CORE), in comprehending the main problems of the current security situation in Europe and the process, as well as in sketching out contributions to a more cooperative security policy approach with a focus on rebuilding ties on a societal level. In building upon the efforts of the Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security as a Common Project, the Study Group, composed of Think Tank and research institutions from across the OSCE area, will draft a report that will analyze how the divergences between different narratives in the OSCE area emerged and what can be done to reconcile them. SecondIy, the Group will analyze societal ties within the OSCE area and draft recommendations on how to turn them into a resource for cooperation between states. The Group will draft a report of its work that will be presented at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg in December 2016.
