This Project is to effectively secure the realization of a Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty (GSCDL) and concretely contribute thereto by means of guaranteeing the active role and important contribution of the civil society in different countries to the Study, its advisory group and the NGO Panel.

Objectifs du projet
(Anglais)

The overall goal of this project is to effectively secure the realization of a Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty (GSCDL) and concretely contribute thereto by means of guaranteeing the active role and important contribution of civil society. In specific:

1. Lobbying and advocacy activities directed towards Member States and UN bodies and mechanisms in order to secure their full collaboration in the realization the Study;

2. Streamline information and data provided through civil society organizations, including children, for the Study;

3. Raising awareness and sensitizing on the issue of Children Deprived of Liberty in connection with the Study;

4. Coordinate the NGO Panel for the GSCDL, securing NGOs voice and input throughout the Study Implementation.

The planned results of the project are:

1. Member States and UN Human Rights mechanisms are actively involved and contributing to the realization of the Study;

2. Civil society organizations from al! over the world, including children's views, are considered as fundamental contributors to the Global Study;

3. The situation of children deprived of liberty is widely known;

4. An NGO Panel is functioning and actively involved to secure NGOs voice and input for the Study and its follow-up Implementation.
