Description succincte (Anglais)

The objective of this project is to develop concise total synthesis of picrinine, alstolactines A, B and C. These complex polyheterocyclic monoterpene indole alkaloids are the main constituents of an investigatonal botanic drug that is now in phase II clinical trials in China. The plant extracts are being prescribed in hospital and are sold as traditional chinese medecine in drug stores. The realization of this project would not only provide access to these structurally complex alkaloids, but also analogues that will allow us to better define the structure-activity relationship of this class of natural products.
