Currently available linear and topological reference system concepts target the high-level road network and thus designed for the roads between agglomeratins. In agglomeration area first approaches and experiences exist, which have to be conceptually processed and updated. In the application EMSG road axes were used as basis for referencing road characteristics and measures on pavements as well as on other subsystems. This project will develop concepts for the design and updating of linear and topological reference systems in the agglomeration area.
To develop practical concepts for reference system, basic parameters and requirements needs to be analyzed, specified and validated in terms of practical application. The concepts should support the common referencing on street names and numbers. Furthermore, they should map the complex geometric situations of roads ( in particular squares), but also be used as referencing for a variety of subsystems. Moreover, the concepts should be compatible with already existing reference systems in urban areas.
