Abstract (German)	There is a clear need for battery assisted propulsion for locomotives. Current DC/DC converter solutions for interfacing the battery provide insufficient performance in terms of key railway requirements such as high power density, high efficiency, 30 year life time or rough operating conditions. Therefore, in this project isolated high power DC/DC converter with an outstanding high power density and innovative transformer concepts are developed.
