Effective Tool Support for the Design and Automated Manufacturing of Cable Harnesses in Cars

Abstract (German)

The current project aims at better supporting the automated manufacturing of cable harnesses in the car industry. By developing a simulation tool that integrates into the design process of car manufacturers and their supply chain partners, we aim at providing effective feedback to designers about how well their designs meet requirements of automated manufacturing environments.
