Optical Gyroscope for measuring structure and dynamics of micro-mechanical components

Abstract (German)

The company Icoflex and the academic partner EPFL-LOB intend to simulate, design and develop a real-time|optical system for monitoring the dynamics of watch components. Moving parts like the barrel wheel,|tourbillion or carousel can be analysed either in the assembled movement or in the final mounted watch. At the|end of the project the industrial partner will supply an advanced metrology device for the high-end watch|making industry.
