Microstructured thermoplastic polymer composites

Abstract (German)

Magnetized anisotropic particles may be manipulated to obtain microstructured bulk composite parts with tuneable mechanical properties. These composite parts have the potential to be used as structural elements for lightweight systems. In this study we propose to conduct the background research to allow us to fully describe and control particle alignment in non-Newtonian viscous fluids at high temperatures (polymer melts).
